Employment Type: Full-time 

Hybrid Schedule: 3 days In-office / 2 Remote

Salary: $150,000 - $205,000

Level: Senior 

Our client has an excellent opportunity for a talented Electrical Engineer to support Federal, ports, and/or infrastructure projects in our Seattle office. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience with the design of federal, ports, and/or infrastructure projects.

 

Position Requirements:

-Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
-A Registered Professional Engineer license is required
-Minimum 10 years experience 
-Able to lead electrical design projects and a team of design engineers.
-Able to perform QAQC on electrical projects and mentor emerging professionals through challenging design issues.
-Demonstrate project management skills.
-Be self-motivated, inquisitive, detail-oriented, adept at looking at underlying issues, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
-Experience using AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit
-Possess strong record-keeping and organizational skills.
-Must be a US Citizen
 

Working Knowledge:

-National Electrical Code - required
-Washington State Codes - preferred
-Unified Facilities Criteria - preferred
-ETAP/SKM - preferred
-Microsoft Office Suite 
-Revit a plus 
-AutoCAD a plus 
 

Duties: 

Pre-Design Engineering 

Perform field surveys for the design of electrical systems, gather information, and prepare site assessment reports.
Prepare electrical schematic designs.
 

Design Engineering 

-Design power single line and riser diagrams 
-Perform electrical calculations (arc flash, coordination, short circuit, voltage drop, load flow) using ETAP/SKM.
-Design low voltage and medium voltage infrastructure. 
-Understand and utilize CAD/BIM standards.
-Have a working knowledge of National Electrical Code, Washington Codes and Energy Standards to design electrical systems.
-Coordination among different disciplines, such as mechanical, plumbing, telecom, civil, structural, and architectural. Work in close contact with the entire design team.
 

Project Management

-Demonstrate ability to manage multiple large-size projects involving other senior engineers and sub-consultants.
-Provide mentorship to design engineers.
-Prepare proposals independently for clients.
-Demonstrate active development of business with new and existing clients.
 

Construction Administration 

-Review and respond to RFI’s.
-Review equipment submittals.
-Perform punch walks and prepare punch list reports.
