Position Overview & Responsibilities for the Senior Building Engineer:
- Oversee facilities maintenance and building operations, with a focus on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Supervise, train, and schedule a team of maintenance technicians and engineers, ensuring quality work and task completion
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with building systems, coordinating with external contractors when necessary
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, installations, and inspections
- Ensure all sites adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including fire safety, OSHA standards, and environmental guidelines
Required Skills for the Senior Building Engineer:
- 5+ years of experience in building engineering or facilities maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.), blueprints, and control systems (e.g., building automation systems)
- Proficiency in CMMS system i.e. Corrigo and MS Office suite
