Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Senior Automation Engineer:
- Development and optimization of the test automation framework in line with the latest updates
- Design, development, and execution of automated test scripts
- Analysis of automation test results to identify defects or areas for improvement in software quality
- Provision of support and troubleshooting assistance for automated testing infrastructure and tools
- Active contribution to the continuous improvement of automation processes and methodologies
- Regular coaching and mentoring of less experienced team members
- Design and implementation of automated test plans and strategies to ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Development and implementation of Automation Framework enhancements and overall maintenance
- Provision of test measurements (KPIs) to track and communicate test progress and defect status
Required Skills for Senior Automation Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) in software development and automation testing roles
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies, including test automation frameworks
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, practices and tools like Jenkins or Travis CI
- Proven ability to analyze complex technical requirements and translate them into effective automation solutions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers
