We are seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to become part of our team!

Your responsibilities will include:

Basic understanding and ability to research technical documents including engineering drawings, specifications, standards, test procedures, work instructions, NAVSEA Standard Items and contract requirements.
Perform basic inspection of shipbuilding and ship repair work in accordance with established policies to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
Ensure correct materials and proper fabrication and installation procedures are utilized during production processes.
Basic understanding of root cause analysis, corrective action and preventative action practices.
Understanding of usage of calibrated equipment and ability to validate calibration of equipment, gauges and tools used in production and inspection in accordance with established polices.
Ability to recognize and document nonconformance's per company policy.
Draft, reviews and submits QA reports and technical documents.
Participate in implementing and monitoring continuous improvement initiative to improve safety, quality, reduce cycle time and reduce costs.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements for this role include:

High School/GED education at a minimum or equivalent. Technical education or college a plus.
Current NBPI, AMPP/NACE CIPI certification.
At least 2-4 years of experience as quality assurance in a shipyard.
Must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule to include overtime and weekends.
Strong computer skills especially with Microsoft Office or 365.
Working knowledge of NAVSEA Standard Items.
Technical knowledge with submarine and/or surface combat ships recommended.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with personnel in and outside of the organization.
Must be able to gain access to military installations and various shipyards.
