Optigy is representing a full-time opportunity for a Family Medicine Program Director to lead a mission-driven residency program at a single-site community hospital in Schenectady, NY.
Job Description:
Ellis Family Medicine Residency Program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). The program is based at a single site in a large community hospital and is focused on supporting a resident-centered atmosphere, emphasizing care for high-needs, underserved populations.
This full-spectrum program, including OB, features 30 residents and is supported by two Associate Program Directors. The incoming Program Director will assume both clinical and supervisory roles.
The diverse faculty enable residents to gain broad training across outpatient and inpatient settings, including complex disease management, addiction, HIV/viral hepatitis, women’s health, ultrasound, osteopathic manipulation, and procedures. With no competing residency programs, residents take strong ownership of inpatient care, intensive care, L&D, and subspecialty experiences.

Compensation and Benefits:
Base Salary: $212,000 with incentives
Starting Bonus: Up to $50,000 (to be discussed at interview)
Retention Bonus: $15,000/year for 2 years
Relocation Allowance: Reimbursement-based, tied to move distance
