Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Payroll Specialist I:

- Full cycle payroll processing
- Responding to employee payroll queries in a timely and efficient manner
- Preparing payroll journal entries
- Reviewing quarterly payroll tax reports
- Year-end processing including W-2 and 1099
- This is a 3-month contract position with a high likelihood of extension
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field is required

Required Skills for Payroll Specialist I:

- 1-2 years' experience in payroll processing
- Professionalism and integrity in handling confidential information
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Familiarity with payroll systems
