Position Overview: The Payroll Administrator with experience and familiarity with a high-level capacity payroll position capable of a complete process of entry, running checks, and following up on tax and union filings.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete responsibilities for processing in-house payroll for up to 140 union employees.
Input weekly timecards into the payroll system.
Verify the accuracy of all input information and print checks.
Run proper reports for timely filing of weekly taxes.
Work with in-office and field supervisory personnel to resolve any payroll discrepancies.
File weekly certified payrolls with proper state agencies.
Disseminate weekly toolbox talks to the foreman and weekly equipment postings.
Monthly union reporting.
Monthly EEO reports to various state agencies.
Monthly Davis-Bacon plan calculations.
Various EEO reports and filings as needed.
Filing quarterly payroll, taxes, and year and W-2 forms.
Compiling and maintaining all employee files, including I-9 forms.
Responsible for new hire completion and return of company handbook.
Phone call assistance, answering and conveying callers to staff and owners.
