Our client, one of SoCal's most prominent commercial painting/waterproofing contractors is seeking an experienced General PaintEstimator/Project Manager to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, cost control, and project management. If you have a passion for delivering accurate estimates and ensuring projects are completed within budget.
Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee the estimation process for construction projects from start to finish
Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for bids
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing
Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure adherence to budget constraints
Provide guidance on pricing strategies and value engineering opportunities
Review contracts to ensure accuracy
Local travel required
Qualifications & Requirements
Proven experience in construction estimating, cost control, and project management
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
Experience in painting or waterproofing is a plus, but not required
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of contract terms and conditions
