NURSE PRACTITIONER / PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT FOR BUSY INTERNAL MEDICINE PRACTICE
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Reviews & interprets the medical and social history of both male and female reproductive health performs appropriate medical screening procedures/exams for both male and female patients;
Interprets laboratory data, orders additional laboratory investigations when indicated and ensures appropriate follow-up; provides contraceptive methods: oral and topical contraceptives; provides
Emergency contraception; performs medical assessment and management of internal medicine conditions, basic STI and genito- urinary conditions for both male and female clients; provides wellness and weight management; provides prenatal care; provides perimenopausal and menopausal services
Acts as a medical consultant to clinic staff; manages emergency situations in the clinic; participates in staff meetings relating to clinic management and provides staff training in current medical procedures which are relevant to health care.
Participates in after-hours coverage if necessary; performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to perform the duties described above.
A typical means of acquiring those abilities would be: graduation from an accredited program; current state license; current cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification.

Able to work cooperatively as a member of a health care delivery team;
