Job Title: Medical Assistant (Phlebotomy, EKG, Spirometry) Location: Clifton, NJ Job Type: Full-time and every other weekend   Introduction: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in phlebotomy, EKG and spirometry procedures, ensuring that patients receive exceptional care and support. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about delivering excellent patient care and working in a fast-paced medical environment.   Key Responsibilities: Phlebotomy: Perform blood draws with precision, ensuring patient comfort and following safety and infection control protocols. EKG: Administer electrocardiograms (EKG) to monitor heart activity and report findings to the physician. Spirometry: Conduct spirometry tests to assess lung function, ensuring proper patient preparation and accurate test results. Patient Support: Provide assistance to patients before, during, and after procedures. Ensure patient understanding of what to expect during the test. Clinical Tasks: Prepare and maintain exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and assist physicians and nurses as needed. Record Keeping: Accurately document patient information, test results, and other clinical data in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Team Collaboration: Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care and optimize patient outcomes.   Qualifications: Certification as a Medical Assistant required. Experience in phlebotomy, EKG, and spirometry is essential. Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and clinical practices. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and staff. Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a busy medical office or clinic setting. Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records   Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
