Clifton Centreville Medical Associates is a growing Family/Internal Medicine practice looking for an experienced medical assistant.
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for the following clinic operations:
- Patient Care: Triaging and admitting patients, preparing patients for examinations, assisting the physician during exams, administering medications and injections as directed by the physician, performing EKG’s, and performing other tasks as directed by the physician.
- Patient Education: Providing patients with information regarding treatments and medications, answering patient inquiries and addressing concerns, and serving as a liaison between patients, the clinic, and other parties.
- Clinical Procedures: Setting up examination rooms and ensuring cleanliness and sterility of the environment, and performing routine testing and accurate reporting of results.
- Electronic Health Records (EHR): Documenting patient information in the EHR system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines, and managing patient documentation.
Skills & Requirements:
- Must have experience in a medical practice or clinical setting.
- Must have excellent communications skills, including writing and telephone etiquette.
- Candidates should be able to work diligently with a welcoming and pleasant demeanor.
- Associates degree, (higher or equivalent) preferred
- Strong medical background
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to obtain patient vital signs and assist the physician
- Ability to educate potential patients about primary care and clinical services
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and computer software services
- BLS Certification (preferred) and CPR Certification

- Empathetic and courteous towards patients and other staff
- Integrity towards patient privacy, compliant with HIPAA standards
