Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Linux SysOps Technical Lead:

• Oversee Linux-based infrastructures and Linux/Unix administration
• Utilize configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and Github
• Scripting using languages such as Bash, Python, and Perl
• Manage virtualization and containerization technologies like VMware, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Troubleshoot and identify root causes of issues
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot software applications
• This is a long-term contract (1+ year) with the possibility of annual renewal

 

Required Skills for Linux SysOps Technical Lead:

• Expertise in Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Perl)
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Github)
• Knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies (e.g., VMware, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of network protocols, services, and security
• Experience with databases such as SQL, MS SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Elasticsearch, Redis, Cassandra, Oracle, and/or Mongo
• 10+ years of experience in Linux system administration
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role
