Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Lead Technician:

Installing and troubleshooting cables, security systems, burglar alarm system., fire alarms etc for commercial and retail buildings
Supporting cabling inspections
Installing and terminating fiber
Conduct field quality control inspections, surveys, and audits to ensure customer specifications are achieved on product or system installations and ensuring client satisfaction.
Provide support and direction to other technicians in the field, supervising work performed and checking for accuracy and quality of work.
Serve as a technical liaison between company and client locations in your assigned area.
Resolve issues at the lowest level; escalate issues as required to ensure client satisfaction.
Train subcontractors and technicians on theory and practices for reliable quality installations.

Required Skills for the Lead Technician:

High School Diploma
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on field experience and/or cabling experience.
Experience with structured cabling (cat 5 and 6)
Prior experience terminating data
Must have strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must have a structured cabling certification (i.e., BICSI) or equivalent structured cabling experience.
Knowledge of Cat 5 cable certification is necessary.
LAN and telephone, including associated network device installation quality standards would be helpful.
