Based on your work ethic, development and dedication to your role, with support from your local branch and job-site leadership, you will develop and strengthen your skill sets
We are seeking Insulators to become part of our team!
Your responsibilities will include:
- Remove insulation and lagging as required by the specification or as directed by the supervisor.
- Cut to size and install all types of structural and piping insulation.
- Work with apprentice and helpers to remove, cut and install insulation.
- Make sure work site and areas are clean of construction debris.
Requirements for this role include:
- Candidates must have at least 4 years marine or shipyard insulation experience.
- Must be able to comprehend instructions, drawings and general correspondence. Must have understanding of ship repair terminology and ship compartment location terminology.
- Must be physical and medically capable of wearing all required personal protective equipment including hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe boots, respirators, etc.
- Experience fabricating insulation pads and applying hullboard, Armaflex, Cal-Sil, ventilation insulation.
- Use basic math.
- Must have full knowledge of WAF’s, basic knowledgeof Standard Items an shop equipment.
