- Schedule patients according to established office procedures
- Answer telephone in timely manner and screen and transfer or take message as necessary
- Update patient information
- Greets patients and visitors, determines their needs and directs them accordingly
- Give routine non-medical instructions in preparation for the patient’s visit to the practice
- Reviews all information sheets and forms after new patient completion. Ensures that all necessary information is present
- Assist new patients who are unable to complete the patient information sheet
- Checks with patient for any changes in patient’s demographics and insurance information and
- make appropriate changes in computer
- Obtains copy of insurance card and drivers’ license for patient file
- Assist in check-out as needed
- Scan medical records into patients' charts
- Fax any orders or paperwork Rx to appropriate requestor
- Maintain dispensed samples and written RX or Correspondence for pickup.
- Performs any other duties requested by Office Manager and Physician
- Promotes and practices the policies and procedures of the practice.
