Duties & Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight for a variety of projects, while working closely with clients.
Prepare project schedule(s)
Review project drawings and specifications
Coordinate with the project development team to develop the architecture, interior design, and construction specifications
Develop construction estimates
Review budget information while meeting targeted budget goals
Conduct project kick-off meetings with VP of Construction and project team
Coordinate materials for project through suppliers
Monitor expenditures, identifying variances between estimated budget and revenue and implement corrective actions
Coordinate with the production team to ensure projects are completed from start to finish in a timely and efficient manner
Decision making responsibility concerning project cost, time, methods and performance
Accountability for contract administration, execution, job cost tracking, billing, change order control system, claims, and job closeout
Participate in company project management meetings reviewing performance
Qualifications & Requirements
Must have strong communication and organizational skills
Able to demonstrate experience in estimating, scheduling, and an ability to manage project team members with emphasis on high standards of quality and professionalism.
Can demonstrate experience and a history of completed projects in all areas of tenant improvements and building renovations.
Minimum 3+ years experience as a Construction Project Manager with a specific project history of tenant improvement work in Class A office buildings and exterior building modifications.
Project estimating experience is required
Proficient in MS Office Suite, MS Project and BlueBeam
Experience working with software systems specific to construction and/or accounting processes are preferred.
BA/BS degree preferred, but not required
Demonstrated ability to be a collaborative team leader and independent thinker
Proven track record with maintaining and building new client relationships
Strong communication and organizational skills
Valid California Class C driver's license and current automobile insurance required
