Certified Medical Assistant Busy internal medicine practice is seeking a CMA in Deerfield, IL to join our team. Responsibilities Include: Direct patient care Triaging and rooming patients Documenting and gathering patient medical information (vitals) Familiar with administering an EKG and other in-office clinical testing Assist with admin duties: scheduling appointments, maintaining and updating patient information in the EHR Familiar with insurance eligibility verification from multiple payers and contracts Liaison between patients & physician Administer injections Take and communication prescription refill requests to physician Familiar with Electronic Medical Record, experience with Aprima preferred, but not required Collection and documentation of patient demographics and administer health screenings Medical terminology required Requirements/Education: High School diploma or equivalent Completion of accredited medical assistant program Strong, effective communication skills Customer service/patient experience Experience in private medical practice setting Team player Motivated to get involved and take ownership of role Committed to serving the patients the best way possible Flexible Position hours/Salary: Compensation: Starting $19/hr, based on experience Flexible hours vary, patient office hours Monday-Friday 9am-4pm, alternating Saturdays 9am-1pm Serious applicants who are excited to join our team will be considered.
