We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both inpatient and outpatient care, demonstrating proficiency in patient service. This role is essential in providing high-quality support to our medical staff while ensuring a positive experience for our patients.Duties:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Conduct patient intake, including taking vital signs, medical history, and documenting relevant information in electronic health records.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care by calling back patients with results, ordering labs, scheduling testing, prior authorizations if needed for testing. Referrals for patients and sending documentation needed for the upcoming referral appointment.
- Provide education to patients regarding their treatment plans, medications, and necessary lifestyle changes.
- Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations while managing patient information.
Requirements:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations when checking out patients.
- Experience in Patient Referrals, Patient scheduling/ testing, Prior Authorizations. Ordering Labs via electronically.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while always maintaining professionalism.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on best practices in medical assisting.

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
